Our Mission: To empower all students to reach their full potential.

We are “Committed to Excellence”, and we work hard to make the site a primary source for timely information for all users, and a main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community. Our goal and responsibility is to help each student develop an enthusiasm for learning, a respect for self and others, and the skills to become a creative independent thinker and problem solver.

WELCOME TO OROVILLE ELEMENTARY!

                                        MS. THEIS, ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
                                            Bonny Theis, Principal

I was born and raised in the Okanogan Valley and have found an appreciation for the area I never had when I was growing up. I graduated from Okanogan High School before heading to Billings, Montana where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Equestrian Studies and Elementary Education at Rocky Mountain College. I have spent the last 14 years teaching in Wyoming and Washington and have experience in kindergarten, first grade, second grade and Title I where I served students in kindergarten through fourth grade. In 2015 I earned my Master of Science in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Then, in 2019 I earned my principal certification through City University of Seattle.

I have a son that just turned 10 and keeps me on my toes daily. We love to stay busy! He plays flag football, basketball and baseball every year. Sadly, this will be his last year of flag football. In the summer he competes on swim team and prepares his market lamb for the county fair. As a family we love to camp, kayak, fish, ski and explore new places with our dog Addy.
